Resource Conservation
The district will make a concerted effort to conserve its resources. An act of good citizenship is the conservation of natural resources and energy. Therefore, staff and students will make resource conservation a part of the school district’s physical operation and educational program.
Resource conservation in the school district will be implemented by:
- Full utilization of materials prior to disposal;
- Limited use of disposable materials;
- Limited use of non-biodegradable products.
The district will cooperate to the fullest extent in the recycling efforts of the community. The building principals are encouraged to establish a building-wide system for recovery of waste and separating recyclable materials.
When it is financially viable, the district will purchase recycled products.
